It was released by RCA Victor Recordsas catalog number 20-5647 (in USA)[1] and by EMI on the His Master's Voice label as catalog number B 10691. The flip side of both recordings was "Look out the Window (and See How I'm Standing in the Rain)"
The most popular recorded version, by Perry Como, reached #1 on Billboard magazine's charts in 1954. The song also reached #1 on the Cash Box chart in the same year. Al Martino also had a top 10 hit with the song in the United Kingdom.
Anne Murray recorded a cover of the song for her album Croonin' (1993).
